Victorian Agricultural Shows Ltd Saddle Horse Championship: Schedule & Entry Forms

The Victorian Agricultural Shows Ltd Saddle Horse Championship is being held 4-6 January 2013, at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds, Bendigo.

Events include Open Led, Led Show Hunters, Riding, Good Hands, Show Hunters, First Season, Leading Rein and Child's Pony, Open Saddle Classes, Rising Star and Equine Excellence Award.

This show was first run in 1996 and in 2012 it was expanded to a three day event, with the introduction of led classes and a new event, The VAS Equine Excellence Award.

The Equine Excellence Award is a new open class and judging is points based and will centre around the combination of horse and rider and include a ridden and led section. Points will be awarded for overall appearance, manners and paces, confirmation and soundness and a led workout. The VAS Equine Excellence Award is a challenging event that will reward standards of excellence in both the rider and the horse. To qualify for entry in the VAS Equine Excellence Award the competitor must have competed in at least three VAS Limited shows.
