Robert aka "Paragon" is a 12yo (14/Oct/2011) is a 16.3hh by Reann out of Zejester. Rob is a really eye-catching, athletic type. With his classic, dark colour and tall stature, he is sure to turn heads when he's out and about, especiallyworking in his attractive outline. He has an elegant front end, and 3 regular paces, although he does need a little bend in the canter at times.

Rob is a pleasure to have around. He is happy stabled, paddocked or in our day yards. He is very affectionate with people and is very easy to catch. He can be a little impatient to shoe, but our farrier has had no problems doing him alone. Both Rob's owner and us have found him to be genuinely very pleasant to handle in all ways. On the flat, Rob has good basics. He is relatively forward moving without feeling hot or silly, and is fairly straight forward to ride. He has good work ethic, and tries very hard to please his rider. He could use more suppleness and bend at times but does understand the basics of inside leg to outside rein. He works happily in a steady but light contact, and is established/forgiving enough for a junior to learn this feel on.

He has started basic lateral work, and with further consistent training we think he could be very competitive in PC/HRCAV dressage. Rob LOVES to jump. He is bold and careful and very confident and willing to have a go at anything! Schooling 80cm with ease, and potential to jump bigger tracks if this is his new riders focus. Although he is keen, he doesn't tend to get hot or silly jumping and would make a really great partner for an ambitious rider looking for areliable jumping mount who really wants to do the job. Rob has competed in show jumping up to 80cm but schooling 85-90cm with potential to jump bigger. He has attended 3 years of pony club, weekly lessons competing grade 4 dressage, but working at more of a grade 3 level. XC schooling around grade 3 but yet to officially compete at a horse trials. Rob has been to the beach, and done some limited trail riding here with us, and even trained for the pony club musical ride team which he really enjoyed! Rob has experience in dressage, showjumping and cross country. He retired from jumps racing in 2019 and went to a retrainer in 2019-2020 and attended dressage clinics/training days/sj days and xc clinics. He has been with his current owner since 2020/2021. Rob is a really genuine soul, with a lot to offer his next rider. He has an array of experiences under his belt, and a great attitude towards his training. We feel he would be best suited to an ambitious intermediate plus rider who wants to enjoy a little bit of everything. He responds well to consistent work 3-5 times a week but is sensible enough to cope with less work when life gets busy. Rob is for sale through no fault of his own, unfortunately his owner is juggling many other life commitments at the moment, and feels she can't give him the time and attention he really deserves. This is a very difficult sale for her, as he is a much loved member of her family. We can't wait to see whats in store for Rob and his new rider!
