Triple World Cup winner Boyd Exell (AUS) has taken the lead in the FEI World Cup™ Driving Final in Bordeaux (FRA) after the first competition on Friday 3 February. Many spectators attended the first competition of the FEI World Cup™ Driving Final despite it ending close to midnight. Many of us become complacent about wearing a helmet when riding our educated horse, on a good surface at home or out and about, especially western or stock horse riders. It doesn't matter if your horse is quiet, the surface is good and you're not attempting daredevil stunts, disaster can still strike! At the December 2011 Australian Hunter Horse Association (AHHA) executive meeting, the future of classification was discussed, and for varying reasons, a decision was made that as such, this would cease. Whilst there were some great positives to this activity, it was identified that there were other areas which were not as uniform in this activity as the Association would have liked which were in themselves, a concern.
