“Dolly” is a 14.2hh 7 year old Quarter Horse Buckskin mare. Not currently registered but her papers are on hand and she is able to be easily registered if desired.

Dolly was bred by Jerome Quarter Horse Ranch, and has been owned by the same person since she was 2 weeks old. She has been regularly handled since she was bought home then, making her a dream to handle in any way. She will meet you at the paddock gate, ground ties, self loads onto the float, ties up all day, etc. She has beautiful ground manners in every aspect and an absolutely delightful personality.
Dolly has lovely and comfortable paces, especially her rocking horse canter - it’s the kind you could sit on all day. She’s more than happy to lope around on the buckle, and stay at the same pace all day. She’s typically more woah than go, but should you want to put the spurs on and ride her up, she’ll do that too. She was very well broke in, with a super soft mouth and many buttons installed. She has a nice stop, has started to learn rollbacks, and will side pass over poles, open gates on her, etc. Also good after a spell.
She is genuinely the quietest, no fuss horse you will ever come across! She’s done many outings at mountain trail where she breezed through the obstacles, showing her truly unflappable nature. She’s been ridden bareback in a halter into garages, down roads in the dark, and along the beach. Truly nothing fazes this horse! She’s been to clinics, QH shows, trail rides, sporting club, beach rides and never changes attitude when she’s out and about. Shes also done a few stints with some professional trainers along the way. She’s quiet enough to have been used as a lead line horse for young kids learning to ride. She’s a genuinely honest and willing mare.
Dolly would make an excellent kids pony with a few more miles under her belt. She’d be suited to a confident junior rider, or a family where mum wants to have a ride and then pass her over to the kids. She has no real nasties in her, however she can be marey and somewhat testing if she’s allowed to get away with it. She’s not arrogant or hard to deal with at all, but she does need a rider with some experience to keep furthering her education. She has a big personality, and needs a home who is willing to accept that. Dolly is bred for the cow sports, and would absolutely excel in the campdrafting/team penning arena. However with her willing and quiet nature, she’d give any discipline a good go! She also jumps, and can round up into a frame to hack making her the perfect all rounder horse. She will always try her hardest to please, whatever it is that you’re asking of her. She would make an excellent horse for someone who wants a fun horse to do a bit of everything on.
She is up to date with shoeing, worming and teeth. She’s a good doer with good feet, making her an easy horse to have around.
This is a super hard sale of a very loved mare who was never meant to be sold! She will come with her whole wardrobe of rugs including hoods, tailbags, summer and winter rugs, woollens and her show set. Her sale is due to a change in personal circumstances with her owner and not due to any fault of her own. She will make someone very happy, first to try will buy. A good home is most important of all
