Malachy (Mally) has a lot of natural talent and ticks all the boxes, he has scope, he is rideable, wants to jump clean, has good technique, and most of all has displayed all of this with his young rider. He is absolutely spectacular on cross country, he is an extremely reliable cross county horse – as his results show. He is ridden in a snaffle and doesn’t take over, but he is focused and is always looking for the next fence. Malachy is showjumping 1.20-1.30, 1* eventing, and ready to step up to 2*
Malachy is a lovely horse to be around, he has impecable ground manners and a beauitful temperament, he is wonderful to hack out, has been many places – the beach, the woods, roads, with horses and with dogs. He is good to hack out by himself and in company.
Malachy was bred by his current owners, and is a very loved family member, they also owned his mother, she show jumped to 1.20 and evented to 3*, she was a very accomplished eventer, she won Wandin 1* and many other events. She was a very clean showjumper and rarely had a rail. Her offspring have all had her wonderful temperament, balanced canter, resilient nature and none of them want to touch rails.
Vivant, his sire, is a renowned international showjumper that needs no introduction. Mally has many of his sire’s distinguishable features, including his trainability and super canter. Vivant went to the world equestrian games in Kentucky with Chris Chugg in 2010.
Mally would suit a rider that wants to learn to jump bigger fences, to move through the grades and feel how cross country can be without needing perfection from the rider. He is a perfect horse to provide a young rider the opportunity to develop their riding and move onto bigger tracks. Also to learn to ride a horse with a bigger jump but still be very rideable. He would also suit an adult rider wanting to do more eventing or show jumping and be competitive and have an easy friend to be around. He’s a horse that anyone can take to an event on their own. Mally is the perfect companion and all rounder. Will only go to the very best of homes.
He comes with pre-vetting x-rays – his pre-vetting examination.
