AWHA Ltd Annual Online Stallion Service Auction STALLION: Kinnordy Rilke (River Dance x Graf Landau x Winterkönig) Kinnordy Rilke is an eight year old brown stallion standing at 16.2hh by River Dance (Imp/Dec) out of Premium Mare Kinnordy Gala (Graf Landau (Imp/Dec) x Winterkönig (Imp/Dec)). River Dance was the sire of Sue Hearn’s Remmington who represented Australia in Aachen in the Grand Prix and is now on the Olympic team for Rio 2016. Rilke has been competing successfully in harness for 18 months and has completed four CDEs and placed third at the FEI 1* dressage and cones event held in Adelaide last year, all with a novice driver at the reins. Rilke has an exceptional temperament and a great work ethic which he passes onto his foals. His oldest progeny are rising 3 years old and we look forward to seeing them out. We have retained a filly who will be prepared for driving in the future. Progeny can be registered with the Australian Warmblood Horse Association Limited. Rilke has been crossed successfully over Thoroughbred and cold blooded mares (Irish Draught) and has produced stunning foals out of Warmblood mares. He does throw some height. All foals have been, without exception, easy to handle, friendly and interested in people. His foals are selling from between $5,000 and $9,000 at weaning. Rilke will be competing at the Royal Adelaide Show and the SA State CDE Championships in the spring of 2016. 2016 service fee: $880 (inc. GST and LFG inc. handling fee).
