Matari is a 12yo 14.1 Waler x Paint Gelding. Matari is a really lovely boy and an adorable little type! He's very eye-catching, with above average paces! He has a super active walk, a rhythmic trot with good swing and a forward moving canter with good ground cover, although he needs a little more bend at times.

Matari loves his tucker, and is a very good doer.He has no known history of soundness issues. He has loads of personality and is a very fun, cheeky little horse to have around. He took his current rider from beginner through to pony club rider but does do best with consistent, regular work (3-4 times per week). I love riding this little horse, he is very comfortable, fun and just genuinely feels nice to ride!

Matari was broken in a little later at 7yo, but has since gone on to have a good mix of experiences including trail riding, pony club, ARC, showjumping, xc and years of regular lessons. Matari has been training/competing grade 5 level dressage, showjumping, eventing, showing although he has been more successful in the dressage/showing disciplines so far with a champion in a rider class recently. Saying this, he does show talent for jumping and with a confident jumping rider to firmly reassure him and further schooling, I'm sure he would be brave enough to do well at grade 4/5 level jumping. On the flat, Matari is very consistent in the rhythm, he is a really nice balance of forward without being reactive/ overly sensitive. He is very soft in the hand, and works beautifully in a stunning little outline. He shows A LOT of talent for dressage and I think he could be quite competitive in EA prelim pony dressage now, and it wouldn't take him long to progress through the levels to novice and elementary with further training. Matari loads and travels well on an angle and straight load float, ties well to the float at shows.

He can be a little impatient at shows but with consistent outings and a firm handler, this can be easily managed. Matari is a generally quiet horse but can have the odd little spook here and there, so does need a rider who is confident enough if he does an occasional little shy. Matari is a rare little package with striking good looks, a gorgeous front end, a solid education of basics under his belt, exposure to a good mix of disciplines/environments and loads of talent especially for the dressage based disciplines! (although he certainly can jump).

Matari could be suited to a range of riders of different levels, I do feel that the key with him is consistent work so he doesn't get too full of himself with sporadic riding. He does need a rider not too rattled by an odd spook but otherwise he is very versatile and will be an amazing partner in crime for a whole range of different riders.
