Meet Smudge , SPS it’s complicated- a stunning 10-year-old stock horse (Seraphic Park Sir Oliver Twist) crossed with a TB (Midas Touch). He stands at 15.3hh and has an impressive lineage, with his grandsire being the handsome Gwaihir Aubusson-HSH. Smudge has been refered to as a 'gentleman' many times by anybody who has spent any amount of time with him. 

Smudge is a beautiful mover and has competed at novice-level dressage and grade 2 in pony club. He's also competed at 90cm with his current rider, although he has been trained up to 1.05m. However, his rider now focuses more on dressage. With his previous owner, he trained up to  1.05m in cross country. But Smudge needs a confident rider in the showjumping ring.

Smudge is a horse who loves going to clinics and going for trail rides. He's up for anything if you are - he loves going for a swim and cantering bareback. Smudge is the horse you could chuck anybody on and he would look after them, even my dad who knows nothing about horses or riding has ridden his bareback around the paddock. He's always a pleasure to be around. Smudge is fantastic to clip, shoe, wash, float, stable, and camp at competitions. He's great with other horses and is good at leading them while you're riding him. Smudge is a soft, reliable, and an easy ride.

The previous owner is a great rider who competes in eventing. She bought Smudge from a breeder who broke him in herself and continued to bring him in and out of work for three years until he matured. Smudge has never shown any signs of bucking, bolting, rearing, or any undesirable behaviour.

He always tries his best for his rider and always wants pats and cuddles whenever he can get one or many. However, the current owner is selling Smudge due to losing interest in riding. She has had Smudge since she was 11 years old and has taken care of her during that time.  He deserves someone who will love him. It’s a very sad sale as he is like a best friend to anyone that meets him.
