The Spanish Mustang is descended from horses brought to the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors in 1492 (not to be confused with the BLM mustang running wild in the USA today). This critically rare breed features horses that have extremely tough hooves which rarely require shoeing, short strong backs, are incredibly smooth riding with endless endurance, are exceptionally good doers, possess unparalleled intelligence and form a strong commitment to their owners. Spanish Mustangs are a truly versatile breed and are successfully competing in endurance, competitive trail, dressage, ODE, show jumping, team penning, carriage driving and pony club.
