Great South Eastern 2** Dressage Championships - Results

Caboolture Dressage Group held the Great South Eastern 2** Dressage Championships on 15-17 June at QSEC, where perfect Queensland weather helped to ensure a great weekend of competition.

Horsezone sponsored the Advanced 5B and 5C classes at this event, which were both won by Victoria Welch and the gorgeous grey mare, Glogau, who also won the Advanced Championship. Glogau is a beautiful moving mare (Gymnastic Star x Kinnordy Grunau) and it was a total pleasure to watch her and Victoria. Home for this harmonious pair is Beechwood Dressage Horses, located in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Victoria also had a very successful competition with her stunning chestnut gelding, Brentanus.

Second place in both Advanced events went to Deborah Oliver riding Flash Dance, while third place in the 5B was awarded to Tor Van den berge riding Sir Anton and third place in the 5C went to Jacqueline Hill and Broadway Jezzabelle. I enjoyed all watching these horses and riders performing and was impressed to see that they seemed to enjoy being there too. Congratulations to the winners - it was lovely to meet you during the presentation!

Another highlight of my day included watching Fishermans Friend, ridden by Tor Van den Berge, and QEB Jingle Bell Swing with Jacqui Huppert in the saddle, compete in the Grand Prix Special.
