Are you in the market for new stables? Stop looking because we’ve found them for you!

In the early 1970s Loddon became the first UK Company to launch a range of internal stabling. For the past 40 years, the name ‘Loddon’ has become a generic name for this type of stabling. After successfully supplying this product for several years, Loddon was honoured by HRH Queen Elizabeth II with the Royal Warrant for the ‘Supply and Maintenance of Equestrian Equipment’. Loddon, who aim to be the best in the business, have supplied stabling to many high profile clients around the world.

Now, for the first time, Aussie horse owners can have Loddon stables installed, thanks to Killahy Constructions Pty Ltd, who have recently become the sole approved sales and installation agent for Loddon in Australia.

Killahy Constructions Pty Ltd can install Loddon stables Australia-wide and company Director, Patrick Farrell, says that it will take only eight weeks from ordering your stables to completion of the installation.

The full range of high quality Loddon stables - from the 'Ascot', which is the most basic and enduring range, through to the more elaborate 'Wellington', and all styles in between - are now available in Australia.

HAPPY CUSTOMERS

Fiona Price-Jones, who is extremely well-known for her champion Lusitanos, chose Loddon to build her stables. Fiona's choice of stable style was the Windsor Range with a few extra features, including brass ball finials and horizontal board feature (pictured at top right). We think you can agree, they look amazing and and showcase her beautiful horses to the max!

Lucinda Russell’s Arlary House Stables is Scotland’s leading National Hunt yard. Lucinda, was previously an eventer, showjumper and trained point to pointers. Loddon recently installed more stables at Arlary House for Lucinda. These stables were from the Ascot range, clad in brown recycled polypropylene with Yoke Top Sliding doors (pictured second from top right). Classically these are known as Loddon’s most enduring range, the Henderson tracking and nylon rollers used ensures a robust and quiet operation.

Another very happy Loddon customer is promising young British eventer and cover girl for the BE EquestrianClearance.com range, Sophie Beaty. Recently Sophie and her family moved and Loddon were proud to supply and install their new stables. Sophie chose the Windsor range of stables (pictured third from top right), clad in hardwood denya. This is a low fronted design which creates a stylish and airy feel. Safety is the most important aspect and everything is manufactured to a very high standard creating a safe environment for horse and owner. Major features of Loddon Stabling

Safety

Since Loddon started fabricating interior stabling systems, safety for the horse and handler has always been their prime objective.

Grille work

  • The combination of the unique rolled-channel section with the heavy gauge vertical tubes provides the ultimate strength of grille work for which Loddon is renowned
  • Loddon’s pre-punched channel facilitates very strong joints and invisible welds
  • All Loddon’s steelwork is hand-fettled (process to remove excess galvanising on the surface as this can create a sharp surface) prior to shipping
  • Loddon only uses tubes with a maximum spacing of 53mm (approx. 2”) as anything wider can be dangerous for the horse.

Wood/Plastic/Bamboo Kickboard

Loddon uses 35mm (1½”) thick board inserts in a tongue and groove profile with a v- joint in the following materials:

  • Grade A Hardwood
  • Recycled Polypropylene Plastic available in: Black, Brown, Grey, Green
  • Also available 28mm thick: Sustainable laminated Bamboo, Softwood.
