Honey is the ultimate unicorn. She is one-in-a-million with the sweetest and kindest temperament. Honey’s aim in life is to please her person and she is an absolute delight in all ways.

Bloodlines: Honey is by Champion Dressage pony Hilken’s Nougat Cream out of Statford Mateus - from the Statford Performance Horse Stud, who are known for breeding fabulous dressage, show and eventing horses as well as showjumpers.

Honey is beautifully bred with super conformation - GRP x WB given her the characteristics of the warmblood in a smaller, more easily ridden and managed package.

Education, riding and experience: Honey has a solid dressage foundation, she has competed novice and was training elementary. She is a keen, brave and safe jumper with experience to 85 cm with plenty of scope to go higher.

Honey has competed successfully with an inexperienced junior at Interschools and has  proved extremely easy, honest and reliable.  

Honey is currently owned and ridden by a 62 yo woman who purchased her to return to riding, after a 30-year break. Honey has been absolutely amazing in her current home and has been a wonderful confidence builder. 

General demeanor under saddle: Honey is willing and responsive under saddle. She has a snaffle mouth and collects when asked correctly. Honey is balanced, reliable and fun to ride. She can be competed, ridden bareback and ridden on trails without issues.

Current workload/ fitness: Honey is currently in work and competing. 

Handling: Honey is safe and easy to handle - to catch, shoe, wash, saddle and load.

Behaviour: Honey is extremely affectionate and is an absolute pleasure to have around. 

Honey does not have any dirt, quirks or vices - however, in a hectic environment, she can be spooky. In saying that, Honey is extremely sensible, if she does spook, she will then immediately stop. Once reassured, she will immediately move on.

Honey does not need regular work to be safe. Honey doesn’t need lunging after a spell, even if she has had months off. 

Feeding and management: Honey is currently fed a gut supplement as a preventative - like the majority of performance horses.

Medical history: Honey does not have any current medical issues.

Rider Suitability: Honey would be suitable for a competent junior or an adult rider who wants a gorgeous, stress free mount who will give you much love and enjoyment. Not suitable for a beginner or hectic pony club style home. 

Reason for sale: Mature 62yo owner/rider has owned her for two years, Honey has been a fabulous confidence builder. She is very reluctantly for sale because she is not being given the opportunity to reach full potential with the current rider. This is a very, very  difficult sale.
