QUARTER HORSE STALLIONS AT STUD
The Quarter Horse originated in the USA where it was named for its ability to sprint over a quarter mile faster than any other breed. The Quarter Horse is exceptionally versatile and athletic, often being called 'stocky' because of their well-muscled body type. They are typically level headed, sensible and willing to please their rider and are well known for having cow sense (the natural instinct to work cattle).
Quarter Horses come in just about every colour and generally stand between 14.3 and 16hh. Traditionally a Western horse, they excel at barrel racing, roping, cutting, reining, western pleasure, trail, hunter and halter. Due to their wonderful temperament Quarter Horses and Quarter Horse crosses are also popular for more traditional English events including dressage, jumping and eventing.
