Nova | 15.3hh | 13-Year-Old Thoroughbred Gelding | Genuine Showjumping Schoolmaster

Nova is a striking, flashy gelding with a kind nature, sensible attitude and plenty of personality. A much-loved local favourite, he has the temperament of a puppy dog and is adored by everyone who meets him.

Raced as Twice The Style, although racing was never really his calling. After spending a few years out of work, Nova has been carefully brought back into work over the past 8 months and has proven himself to be a reliable, genuine and versatile horse.

Currently working as a showjumping schoolmaster, Nova regularly carries riders from beginners through to more advanced levels. He is honest, forgiving and confidence-giving, making him an excellent horse for someone wanting to learn and progress. While he is sensible enough for less experienced riders, he is best enjoyed by a rider with a balanced seat and soft hands who can appreciate his education and continue developing his skills.

Nova absolutely loves to jump and is one of those horses who genuinely enjoys his job. He is straightforward to ride, knows his work and is happy teaching riders while still being enjoyable for a more capable rider.

He is easy to handle in all respects:

• Excellent to catch - walks up to you in the paddock

Nova does occasionally windsuck if left tied up for extended periods, however this has never affected his ability to maintain weight.

He is an excellent doer and currently lives happily alongside a pony on a simple feeding program. Nova thrives when kept in regular work and can become a little fresh if left for several days, so he is best suited to an active home where he will continue to be ridden and enjoyed.

This is a very difficult sale of a much-loved horse. We are seeking a knowledgeable and caring home where Nova will continue to be ridden regularly, receive ongoing coaching and be appreciated for the genuine horse that he is.
