One of the last mares from the highly sought-after Wychwood Snowbird dam line in Australia and New Zealand. Dove’s dam is also a half-sister to multi-champion performer Parklands Celtic Storm.

A rare opportunity to secure an exceptionally well-bred purebred Connemara mare with all the ingredients for a serious performance career.

Affectionately known as Dove, she has been with us since a foal and has been carefully handled, broken in, educated and developed.

Dove possesses truly outstanding natural ability. Her movement is expressive, uphill and naturally balanced, with the quality to develop through the levels and the potential for FEI Pony Dressage.

Equally impressive is her scope—she is an athletic jumper with an incredible natural technique and plenty of power, seemingly equipped with built-in springs. She has all the attributes to excel in showjumping as well as in the dressage ring.

She floats well and has had several outings to lessons and competitions.

Dove is being offered for sale because she is not suitable for children to handle on the ground unsupervised, or inexperienced riders or handlers. She can be incredibly sweet, affectionate and loving; however she can also be an opinionated, dominant mare who will happily assume the leadership role if allowed. She is best suited to a confident adult who understands mares, establishes clear boundaries and appreciates that her intelligence is one of her greatest strengths.

Her reactive side is far less common under saddle than it is on the ground, it can occasionally present if she becomes triggered or overstimulated.

Having said this, she has been ridden by a child and has mostly been very good under saddle.

While Dove undoubtedly has the bloodlines to contribute to any quality breeding program, we believe her greatest asset is her athletic ability and that she deserves the opportunity to fulfil her potential as a performance pony.
