Beautylicious (aka “Beauty”)

Registered PHAA Paint x Thoroughbred mare (20673)

Beauty is a lovely, affectionate mare who truly enjoys attention and being part of your world. She was broken in as a 4-year-old, then turned out with inconsistent work due to time restraints. Since January this year, she has been in more consistent work with an eventer/dressage trainer and a young show jumper, and has come along beautifully with her softening, collection, and jumping.

💛 About Beauty

• 15.1hh bay mare

• 10 years old (DOB 06/11/2015)

• Barefoot (has always been)

• Easy keeper, does well on limited feed

• Up to date with worming, vaccinations, dental & farrier

• Mostly trail riding, with paddock and arena work

• Sure-footed on trails

• Happy to follow or ride alongside (not a dominant leader type)

• Loves water – will happily play in dams and puddles (be prepared to get wet!)

• Quiet ride but forward when asked

• Extremely quick learner and very trainable

• Great with other horses (has always had at least one companion)

• Floats on straight and angle loads

• Can have typical “mare moments” floating when out of work (just needs encouragement — doesn’t take much)

• Can be harder to catch when not in work but will always come for food

• She can be left for a spell and jump on with no buck/bolt/rear but thrives off consistent work (can become heavy and over the bit when out of work).

She has been developing nicely in:

• Softness and collection

• Low-level jumping

• Flatwork foundations

Beauty is still green, so she requires an experienced rider. She is sensitive to seat and rider emotion — not nasty at all, just more forward and tense with a hot or unbalanced rider. With a calm, confident rider, she is a pleasure.

• Dressage

• Western Pleasure

She can get bored with constant arena work, so a varied routine including trails would really suit her. When bored does get lazier.

We have owned Beauty for most of her life, and finding the right home is extremely important to us. She is only for sale because she is going to waste due to lack of time, and she deserves to be out doing a job she enjoys.
