Bijou has come directly from her breeder to us, with no hidden stories and a fully known history.

She is a stunning buckskin mare with the kind, sensible temperament Connemaras are renowned for. She currently lives happily in a paddock with other horses and is easy to manage as part of a herd.

She is currently ridden in lessons at GCEC by riders of all levels, including beginners. However, we believe it is important to listen to our horses, and Bijou has shown us that riding school life is not what she enjoys most.

When cantering, Bijou can occasionally breathe loudly. She has been thoroughly assessed by veterinarians and chiropractors, with no underlying issue identified. We have found that she is happiest and most comfortable with a lighter workload rather than regular riding school demands.
