Two Guy Fawkes brumbies are looking for a home as a companion. Both are around 23yro, captured when they were 6months old. They've been trained with natural horsemanship and are super easy to handle. Both have a lovely character and are a pleasure to have around. I took them on 3 years ago when their long-term owner couldn't take care of them anymore due to retirement.
The bay mare is a very confident horse, but never mean to other horses and is not fussed by anything around her. She's only 13hands, is broken in but hasn't done much more than 4 pony rides on the lead in the last 3 years. She's on daily medication due to her cushings, but is doing well on it.
The grey gelding retired with ringbone a few years before they came to me. But he's still fine to get around in the paddock. He's usually lowest in the pecking order.
The vet assessed them last week and came to the conclusion that they're doing really well for their age. Both are easy to float, easy to trim, have perfect, low maintenance hoofs and good teeth.
It's not an easy decision to make, but due to financial reasons and wanting to move to the other end of the country, I'm looking for a loving home for these two brumbies. Ideally as a pair, but I'd consider to separate them. Putting them down is not an option for me, since it feels so wrong if they might still have many years ahead of them. I'm hoping to find an experienced home that will enjoy the daily laughs due to their very talkative and expressive characters.
