Introduction: DP Williwaw (Wilma) is a fabulous young horse with the world at her feet. She is that ‘one in a million’ thoroughbred that you only read about! At seven years old, Wilma has already competed successfully in eventing, dressage, and showjumping and she has proven himself to be reliable, trainable and sound. She is ideal for a rider seeking a no-fuss, kind and competitive horse for a variety of disciplines.
Education, skills and experience: Wilma has been ridden predominantly by a young teenage boy and his mother. She has also been used in lessons for beginners and novice riders. She is a pleasure to ride - she always aims to please, doesn’t rush and she isn’t lazy. Wilma does what is required and is a reliable horse who is ridden in a snaffle in all disciplines.
On the flat, she produces a very sweet prelim level dressage test. She has a sound, basic education in line with her age and willingly collects.
Wilma has competed successfully from 80-100cm over the last two years and is training 105. She is honest and brave - she willingly jumps anything from planks to brick walls and water. Wilma is tolerant of a ‘miss’ and a rider who lacks the perfect eye for a distance. She has scope, is adjustable and responsive. Wilma often places at shows and events.
General demeanor under saddle: Wilma is as honest as the day is long. She is a lovely horse to ride. Wilma has a fun, eager to please personality and always tries her best.
Wilma is not worried by farm life, trucks, tractors, mowers, cattle and dogs. She is willing and happy to ride out on his own, even on trails and roads. Wilma is completely unfazed by sideshows, fireworks and the nonsense of Ag Shows.
Current workload/ fitness: Wilma is in work and is currently competing. She does not need regular riding to be safe.
Handling and general behaviour: Wilma is easy to catch, saddle, groom, wash, travel (load, float, unload), shoe, and handle for veterinary or dental care. Wilma is a fuss free mare who takes everything in her stride.
Feeding and management: Wilma is an easy doer, tough and easy care - not your typical thoroughbred. She is given one hard feed a day plus hay.
Medical history: Wilma does not have any medical or management issues. She is up to date with dental and vaccinations. Wilma’s owners are happy for potential buyers to do a full vetting.
Rider Suitability: Wilma has a heart of gold and will continue to thrive with a kind novice rider and above.
Reason for sale: Wilma is very reluctantly for sale as her young teenage rider is no longer riding and nine horses are too much for his mum! She is very much loved and only for sale to the best of homes.
