Exceptionally Talented Beautiful Quiet Allrounder

Huge Ego also known as Hugo is a Clyde x Stock Horse gelding standing at 16.3hh.

He’s a very handsome boy (gets all the looks when he's out and about) solidly built with a lovely presence.

Hugo has great conformation and beautiful movement with 3 lovely paces, very comfortable easy to sit to trot and smooth canter. Holds a lovely frame in all three gaits.

Under saddle Hugo is a pleasure to ride with his beautiful movement and willingness to please makes him a real joy to ride, whether you're perfecting flatwork in the arena or exploring new trails he always rises to the occasion. Hugo has a soft mouth, good stop and is responsive under saddle. He knows his leg aids, is responsive and forward moving (not uncontrollably) and loves having a job to do. Smart and willing horse with a very kind nature that will learn with you and take everything in his stride to progress with you.

Hugo has been taken out to jumping nights and he would make a great Pony Club/eventing prospect and/or dressage mount for his next rider, currently training 90 cm with no issues and loads of potential.

Hugo is great in the company of different horses, at events, to be ridden alone and Is sensible if he leaves his friends. Is well behaved with horses rushing past him or coming up behind him (eg warm up arena). Great horse to take out on a trail, is sure footed, well exposed to many different environments and terrains, good with dogs, traffic, machinery, noisy event environments, obstacles etc. Happy to poke along on a loose rein making him enjoyable to ride outside of the arena. Although predominately English trained/ridden Hugo has had some western training in his past, giving him a solid foundation and making him a versatile horse to step into other disciplines/activities with.

Great being ridden bare back and ride around in the arena, go jumping on or out on a trail (very comfortable horse to jump on bareback and ride). Very patient boy that will stand there to be mounted and happily stand waiting at events and in new environments.

Great to stay penned around other horses at events, good for the fairer great hard feet and is barefoot. Hugo is easy to handle on the ground, will stand there to be groomed and tacked, good to wash, worm, rug etc. Great to yard or stable and is respectful of fencing. Hugo has a beautiful nature and is a real sweetheart and doesn't have any nasties. Hugo is the type of horse that will try his heart out for you and learn quickly, always giving his all.

Hugo spent most of his life on a farm occasionally being ridden to muster, trail ride and around the farm. He’s now in full work and ready to find his next home. We have loads and loads of vids/pics that can be sent to genuinely interested people.
