Heartbreaking sale of our sons pony as he isn’t interested in riding and she is going to waste.

12.2hh, 12 year old Welsh (possibly cross but not registered) grey mare.

Very sweet mare that has no signs of any kick, bite, buck, rear or any marey issues. Been safe with kids around her.

Elsie can be hesitant when first meeting  strangers just for a moment but once she learns your kind she falls asleep and lets you dote on her for hours.

Her ideal rider would be a capable junior or a small adult with experience or even a lead line pony for a child with experience and experience leader. My 3yo has ridden her on the lead and she was great but recently ridden by myself an adult as I have no kids that ride to use her due to my boy wanting tractors instead. Hasn’t been ridden off lead by kids in my time.

Iv taken her to riding club in the last few months and she was quiet and didn’t put a foot wrong. (Novelty day and freshman’s jumping).

Loved jumping and did all obstacles and novelty games with no problem.

Prior to us her previous family used her as a therapy horse for kids so she has been desensitised to many things. (Many pics to share).

Has brilliant brakes and will always stop easy so also the reason she needs someone with some experience so they don’t fall forward on when giving the halt command.

Responsive on the ground and under saddle. She is a very comfortable to ride even as an adult rider. Loads and travels well alone and with another horse. Easy to paddock with others or alone and doesn’t get attached to others. Great to do feet and up to date with dental, vaccinations etc.
