Maisie is a stunning 10-year-old Arabian x Thoroughbred mare looking for a knowledgeable, experienced home. She has plenty of personality, presence and athletic ability, and in the right hands she will truly shine.

Maisie has been trained in dressage and has jumped up to 50cm under saddle. She has also free-jumped (height unknown) and is currently being ridden Western, though she is comfortable in English as well. She has been ridden by riders of varying experience levels and tends to adjust to the rider’s ability. She would best suit a confident teenager or young adult who has experience with green horses and can provide consistent, firm handling.

She is currently in paddock condition and was last ridden two weeks ago.

Maisie came to us on free lease and unfortunately sustained an injury early on but is all good fine and healthy now. Since then we have invested significant time, effort and money into giving her the best opportunity.

While she is rideable. there is no underlying medical issue, Maisie can be quirky and sensitive. She is a fence pacer if left alone and does best with a paddock companion.

She can be reluctant to pick up the correct canter lead at times. She is easy to catch and good for the farrier. She does require patience with floating.

This has been a very difficult decision but due to other family issue's, we are left with no chice. We care deeply about Maisie and want her to go to a home that understands her personality and is willing to continue her education with kindness and confidence. She has a lot to offer the right person and bonds strongly with her handler.

Will negotiate price for the right home. I would rather her go to a good home for cheaper.
