9.2hh, 16yrs old (approx) Shetland x Welsh Pony Gelding

Has been used by my 2 children and their friends over the last 2 years. Sadly they have outgrown him.

🤩 He is a parent’s dream pony.

Pros:

✅Kids can lead him,

✅Kids can brush him,

✅Kids can tack him up - will need help with the bridle. Easy for adults.

✅Kids can ride him off lead in secure area for a little rider or in the open for a more confident child.

✅Great as a leadline pony too.

✅Can be clipped but doesn’t like his legs being done easily.

✅ Fantastic with other horses

✅Child can be lead on Maverick while someone else is on another horse.

Cons:

❗️As with most ponies he can get a bit pushy if on full grass and not being ridden a lot. No nasty or naughty in him, just likes to drag you to grass if the kids are leading him.

❗️Is a bit of a Houdini getting out of paddocks. A small low ‘working’ electric fence sorts him out.
