Nelson is a 15.3/16hh thoroughbred gelding with a kind nature and a willing attitude, ready to continue his career with his next rider. Recently retired from racing, he has let down nicely and is showing great potential as an all-rounder, with a particular aptitude for showjumping and cross country.

Currently jumping up to 1.05m at home and confidently cruising around 80cm courses at shows. Nelson has been to multiple outings and jump days, where he consistently handles new environments like a pro. He has proven to be brave and a straightforward point and shoot kind of ride.

Nelson rides like a schoolmaster type, with a forgiving nature and a great brain. He is very adjustable to a fence and will comfortably cope with a variety of distances without becoming flustered, making him a confidence-building ride.

He is easy to handle on the ground, a good doer, and a pleasure to have around the stable. Nelson has taken well to retraining and is sensible and trainable, making him an ideal prospect for someone wanting to produce their next horse.

As a young OTTB, he is still green and would suit a confident rider or someone working with a coach to further his education.
