Nissan UD Truck - 4 Large Horse

- 1998 Nissan UD turbo diesel, 6 speed manual.

-GVM 10,925kg MR licence

-Originally five horse straight load but now four horse reverse angle load

-huge bays - we travel 2x 17.2hh, 17hh and a 16.3hh horses

-super sized  rug rack

-chest boxes with five saddle racks

-brand new corbro anti fatigue flooring with 10mm soft semi cured rubber over the top

-new lower kick boards and rubber on wall behind horses

-rump pads

-six month old tail gate (new rubber, board and frame)

-new rubber drop sheets on dividers

-hydraulic tailgate

-great tyres all round. Regularly wheel aligned and duals on rear replaced 8 months ago

-water tank with external outlet

-split system reverse cycle aircon to living

-no expense spared on this truck as I travel 35,000km a year with four horses throughout regional qld and nsw alone with my daughter so cannot afford any break downs. Serviced every 10,000km religiously and all maintenance carried out at a sniff of wear

-all new suspension including springs and shocks front and rear replaced 12 months ago

-king pins done towards end of last year

-just replaced door hinges and door rubbers.

-tinted windows

-blue tooth stereo with speakers replaced in doors

-2x large underbody storage boxes that we carried 8 bales of hay in plus 2x slightly smaller ones.

-replaced aircon compressor, receiver drier and fan two years ago.

-two queen size beds with under bed storage and hanging space

-large fridge freezer

-near new tv

-plenty of storage cupboards

-microwave

-12v lights outside, in horse area and in living plus 240 lighting in living area

-3000w inverter with 600w solar panel on roof and 150amp hour battery to run fridge while travelling or at comps without power

-I cannot stress how reliable this truck is. Has always got me where I needed to go. I have refused to upgrade however a gooseneck set up towed by none other than a Nissan ud that suits our life on the road came up

-have just completed a 5000km trip fully loaded with horses and gear for 4.5 weeks away from home

-we have spent weeks and weeks away from home living very comfortably in this truck. Super sad to part with her and already regretting my decision.
