OTT Mare

“SPL In Bloom” aka Florrie/Florence.

Florrie is a 6yo 15.2hh (approx - never measured) Bay OTT. Raced as "Ardisaint Lass" - Retired sound, just not fast enough.

Florrie has been with me for three months as a project where she has gone on trail rides, pony club outings, a competition, farm rides, lessons, xc schooling and countless schooling outings. She adores her trail rides and loves to have a bit of fun.

She is calm and level headed to take out and about, can get on her toes for a minute or two yet settles easily. She is lovely to handle on the ground as much as in the saddle. More woah than go. My beginner friend rode her out xc while I rode another one who was a bit wild and she just plodded along and didn't care what he was up to. My friend said it was nice to sit on a horse who was so composed and chill especially in such open spaces!

She is fantastic to trim (currently barefoot), self loading on my straight load, walks right up to be caught, super chill to clip, and doesn’t need full work to behave.

Schooling 80cm with scope to go higher and competed 50cm. Bold but needs the right rider to encourage her to the fences as she is still green and learning. Makes a lovely shape and expresses her love for jumping with her tail flicks! Flat work is still developing with the right lead trickier to get however getting it more and more each ride. Holds a nice contact and travels well in front of the leg.

Best suited to a competent, confident, rider who wants to spoil this gorgeous mare and have some fun! No beginners as she is still young and green and needs further education.
