Part Bred Arabian Palamino Gelding

14.1 3/4h, 10 year old.

Quality, well-educated gelding with plenty of presence and an impressive competition record

Professionally schooled in dressage by a well-regarded trainer, he is a lovely horse to ride and has successfully competed at pony club, gymkhanas and agricultural shows, consistently bringing home first places and Champion ribbons.

He has been ridden and competed by my nervous/beginner niece, proving to be a willing and reliable mount who looks after his rider.

On the ground and under saddle:

• No bite, kick or bolt.

• Ties up, floats well and is easy to pick out hooves.

• Good for the farrier, including being caught and attended to in the paddock.

• Well-educated under saddle with lovely dressage foundations.

• Experienced at shows, gymkhanas, pony club and clinics.

• Loves the beach

• Loves trail rides

Quirks: He can be a little pushy on the ground, but is easily controlled and managed through a confident, consistent handler who will maintain clear boundaries. With regular ground work, his behaviour improves significantly.

He can also grind his teeth when corrected, which appears to be a behavioural response (kind of like a 3 year old throwing a tantrum). He has been assessed by a vet, equine dentist and chiropractor, with no underlying issues identified during those assessments.

Unfortunately, due to a recent chronic health diagnosis, I am unable to provide the consistent groundwork he requires, prompting this very difficult sale. He is in inconsistent work currently, depending on when I am feeling up for a ride.

He is a talented, eye-catching gelding who would suit a confident, knowledgeable home wanting a competitive mount with plenty to offer.

Would suit a lady rider, confident teen rider, or knowledable horse home. No beginners please.
