ONO
8yo bay TB mare, approx. 15.1hh (unmeasured). Solid chunky type, great doer. Very pretty.
Race name “Petas Hope” - homebred mare and purchased from her breeder.
I purchased Hope prior to falling pregnant last year. I’ve ridden her a dozen times and although very green will come into a nice frame and with strength and education would develop a lot. I’ve popped her over cross rails which she hasn’t had any problems with and enjoys. Her previous owners have jumped her 1m .
I’ve hacked her out once and she was pretty anxious and hot.
I’ve had some ground work lessons with her which I’ve continued and found I saw a big improvement in her behaviour.
I’ve had my toddler on her as a lead pony in the round yard as well.
Once I found out I was pregnant I had planned to put her to foal so she’s been crushed/scanned etc without sedation but I was messed around in the process and missed her cycle and then had my own baby so haven’t had time to go again. Could be broodmare prospect.
Needs a confident, advanced rider/handler. Matey with other horses however currently paddocked alone. Can be anxious away from horses and will paw tied up. Doesn’t walk straight on the float but will get on within a short time. This is just due to not doing it often. Up to date with farrier and teeth just done this month. Easy to catch, greets you at the gate when called.
Hope would thrive in a home where she is able to be in consistent work. Realistically, I can’t give her time right now and I don’t want her to waste in the paddock.
Looking for the right home only. Further information upon request and photos and some video available from the past year. Located Quorrobolong (Hunter Valley) NSW.
