Tilly is a fabulous young eventer. She has been produced by her current rider/owner since retiring from racing after a very short three-start career. Tilly has the talent and youth to progress up the star levels, as well as the experience to learn with a capable young rider or amateur. She was never intended to be sold, but due to her owner having far too many horses, she is very reluctantly on the market to an approved home.

Education, Skills and Experience: Tilly’s owner has brought her on slowly and correctly. She is currently competing in EVA95 eventing and consistently placing in the top ten, and she has had two 1* starts. She has also placed in straight showjumping on the Queensland circuit at the 110–115 level this year.

Dressage: Tilly is well established in dressage with three even paces. She consistently produces calm and accurate tests. She has a comprehensive dressage education and willingly collects; she is balanced, light, and soft to ride. In eventing dressage, Tilly is often a standout, scoring around 70%.

Showjumping: Tilly is responsive and adjustable, and competitive against the clock. She is brave and trustworthy around the course and does not stop. Tilly has successfully competed and placed up to 110–115 and is currently training at 120.

Cross Country: On cross country, Tilly is super calm in the start box and bold and honest across the course. She has a flawless track record with zero cross-country jumping faults. She is ready to go 2* with the right rider and is currently training at this height with ease. Tilly absolutely loves jumping and is a true “point and shoot” cross-country horse. She is very clever and quick with her feet, will jump nearly anything from any angle and any stride, and can always be trusted to bring her rider home safely.

General Demeanour Under Saddle: Tilly is a wonderful example of the modern performance horse: compact, athletic, and refined. Her paces display elasticity and activity suitable for progression up the levels.

She is a willing and responsive mare who is honest and aims to please. She is generally quiet, though not completely unflappable. Tilly can occasionally have a look at something, but she does not spook.

Tilly is easy and trustworthy to ride in all situations—at competitions, off the property, and whether working in a group or on her own. She does not require lunging or an extensive warm-up and is safe and consistent to ride, even after a break. Tilly is ridden in all phases in a snaffle.

Tilly is good with dogs and motorbikes and loves the beach. She is very relaxed and will happily have a flat-out snooze regardless of the environment or atmosphere. She makes friends wherever she goes, making her a great horse to camp with at competitions.

Current Workload / Fitness: Tilly is in work three or more days per week and is currently competing.

Handling and General Behaviour: Tilly loves people. She is safe and easy to manage: easy to catch and handle, lead, rug, tack up, wash, shoe, clip, and float/truck.

Feeding and Management: Tilly loves her food and is a good doer. She is on a simple diet of chaff and Economix pellets.

Medical History: Tilly passed a full veterinary check, including X-rays and flexion tests, in early December 2025. She was “all but sold” when the buyer unfortunately tore their ACL and is unable to ride for eight months. The buyer understandably withdrew from the sale but has kindly offered permission for the vet check and X-rays to be shared with interested parties.

Rider Suitability: Capable and confident. Tilly would be perfect for a capable teenager or young adult looking for a kind, competitive, and talented partner. She has the rare ability to be patient and tolerant with her rider while also having the scope to move up the grades in any discipline.

Reason for Sale: Tilly is an absolute delight. She has been owned by her current rider for the past four years, since she was three years old, and is very much adored by her. Unfortunately, her owner has far too many horses and, as such, Tilly is very reluctantly offered for sale.
