7th podium ht Werribee

Chatham is a 15-year-old, 16.3hh Thoroughbred gelding with a solid competitive foundation, having previously competed up to 2* eventing. He recently stepped back out at EvA80 finishing 7th at Podium Horse Trials (Werribee) with a junior rider and can be seen competing at Albury

He is a big, strong, forward-moving horse with an incredible canter and a real presence under saddle. He is not a kick-along type - he goes off the leg and enjoys his work, making him a fun and athletic ride for someone who likes a horse with engine. He knows basic laterals and can pull a great dressage test together including a 74.7% in prelim with his amateur rider.

On the ground, he is straightforward and easy to manage. He is a genuinely quiet horse with no nasties and is a fan favourite at any agistment. Easy to catch, shoe, float, wash, etc.

Chatham absolutely thrives cross country - bold, genuine, and confident, this is where he really shines and gives his rider a great feel.

In the show jumping arena he jumps well and try’s hard but can get strong and need a consistent/patient ride

Chatham would best suit a capable junior or intermediate rider looking for a quality allrounder with ** level eventing experience, or alternatively someone wanting a fun, quiet, responsive, forward horse to enjoy. He is a genuine sweetheart and truly deserves the best.

Has had a recent vet assessment and passed with full bill of soundness and health with plenty of years teaching in him, is eligible for ott classes aswell
