Rosedale Lyric - Unicorn Dream Pony

Introduction

Trixie (Rosedale Lyric) is a genuine all-rounder who always comes home with a ribbon. She is sensible and well behaved and has the sweetest, most reliable temperament.  Trixie has predominantly competed at Pony Club level but would also make an excellent Interschool mount.

Education, Riding & Experience

Trixie has been part of our family for just over four years and has taken my daughter from Grade 5 Pony Club through to confidently competing Grade 3/Novice dressage. Together they have qualified for Pony Club State Championships at Grade 4 dressage and placed first at multiple Grade 4 dressage and combined training competitions.  Trixie is currently competing Grade 3/Novice dressage, E-grade show jumping, Grade 4 eventing, and Grade 4 combined training.  She is jump training up to 85cm and has the scope and potential to move up the grades with the right rider.

Dressage

Trixie is very sensible in the dressage arena, understands her job, and consistently produces accurate, polished Novice/Grade 3 tests that score well. Trixie works consistently in frame and is best ridden with soft, steady hands. She is a true standout in dressage with naturally flashy movement.

Show Jumping

Trixie is a confident, forward scopey show jumper who very rarely stops or hesitates, even at fillers or spooky fences.  She enjoys her jumping and attacks each course with enthusiasm and a genuine eagerness to do the job. She is currently competing 65-70cm, training confidently above 80 cm and has the potential to compete Grade 3/80 cm in the future. Trixie is forward over fences making her better suited as a second pony.

Cross Country

Trixie was introduced to cross country after we purchased her in late 2021 and has continued to impress us. She progressed from having no cross-country experience to confidently training Grade 3/80cm courses and competing at Grade 4/65cm. While she has not had a lot of competition experience, she is bold and honest. She has competed easily and successfully at grade 5/50cm and is now starting to compete at grade 4.  With a confident rider and more experience she is more than capable of continuing at Grade 4 and higher.

General Demeanour

Trixie is a willing and responsive mare who aims to please. She works well both alone and in a group and is relaxed at competitions.

Trixie is easy and safe to handle in all aspects (catching, leading, rugging, tacking up, washing, shoeing, clipping, and floating).  Trixie is a friendly pony with a sweet temperament with no nastiness whatsoever.  She is truly a mother’s dream pony. 

Trixie has no past or current medical or management issues. Any potential buyers are welcome to arrange a full vet check.

Reason for Sale

This is a difficult sale as Trixie has been a very loved member of our family for over four years but my daughter has now outgrown her. Trixie will be a wonderful second pony for a young novice rider.  She will only be sold to the very best of homes.

Trixie will be sold with a near new fitted Arena dressage saddle, Tekna all-purpose saddle, two bridles, multiple rugs, saddle blankets and jumping boots.
