Moonshine is the perfect all-rounder pony ready to begin his next journey with a new rider. This eye-catching bay varnish roan always stands out in the ring and combines talent, versatility and personality.

Moonshine has done a bit of everything, from pony club and mustering through to showjumping and dressage, making him a fantastic all-round prospect. He is currently competing around 75cm with plenty of ability to go higher. At home, he is confidently training around 1.10m courses, showing a careful, scopey jump and a big stride that makes him a very competitive pony in the showjumping ring.

Moonshine has previously worked as a lesson pony, happily teaching riders from beginners through to intermediate levels both on the flat and over fences. He is experienced and knowledgeable in his job and has helped many riders build confidence and develop their skills.

While he is safe and experienced, Moonshine is best suited to a confident and capable junior rider who can bring out his best potential. He absolutely loves jumping and can be forward when doing what he enjoys, which makes him a very fun and competitive ride for a rider wanting to progress.

On the ground, Moonshine is easy to manage and straightforward to handle. He is great for the farrier and vet, and self-loads on the float. He is a super cuddly boy, with a goofy in your pocket personality. 

Like many clever ponies, Moonshine does have a few quirks and can occasionally try his luck if he feels his rider is inexperienced. However, with a confident rider he is a fun, talented and rewarding pony who loves having a job.

Moonshine is offered for sale through no fault of his own. His owner is heading overseas and has sadly outgrown him. He is a much loved pony and this is a very difficult sale. If circumstances were different he would absolutely be staying. The goal is to see him go to a rider who will continue competing him and allow him to excel.

Moonshine would suit a competitive junior rider, pony club home, or rider wanting a talented all-round pony who can enjoy jumping, dressage and general riding.
