Striking, sensible un raced TB gelding

For sale - Swallow.

16.2 4yo TB gelding who has never raced with decent education and exposure under his belt.

Swallow is back in work with us and goodness he has grown! We first met Swallow when he arrived with seven other unhandled thoroughbred yearlings. They were from a major horse RSPCA seizure of 109 horses in December 2023, predominately thoroughbreds.

Swallow was a yearling still on the mare at this point, however the nature of how the mares and stallions were running together, his exact breeding is unknown.

We do know he is a thoroughbred, however he is unbranded and not stud book registered.

We did a lot of handling and then he was broken in with Bruce Marsh’s team who did a brilliant job. They really rated him when they worked with him, as do we!

He then came back to us and spent several months getting more training and exposure.

He has all the basics on the flat, good paces and a great mouth. Excellent to hack out. We used him as a lead horse as he was so sensible, can lead ponies and horses from him.

Hard ties

Stands to mount.

Has floated and trucked.

Been to the local pony club where he behaved the same as at home. Have hacked around the farm and up quiet roads.

Swallow has returned to us from his current owner as her paddock dynamics are not working with her older horses and she wants him to find another brilliant home.

He had grown and is now close to 16.2

Has filled out and is developing into a lovely horse. We believe he is a 4yo now, or close too.

He has been terrific to bring back into work from some time off.

True black. Big movement with three good paces. Clever and trainable.

Good feet, currently barefoot however has been shod when with us.

Up to date with dental, vaccinations and worming.
