Stunning performance horse

Spartacus, affectionately known as "Scooter", is a talented and eye-catching horse looking for his next partner. He is an 11-year-old Australian Stock Horse gelding. Scooter was originally purchased as a dressage horse and was professionally trained by a dressage rider. He has been trained up to novice/elementary dressage and has naturally expressive, flashy paces that consistently attract attention in the arena.

He has proven himself to be an incredibly versatile horse, having competed and participated in: Dressage, Showjumping, Cross Country, Pony Club, Show riding, and Sporting/Mounted games.

Scooter is a genuine and forgiving jumper who will confidently take his rider to the fence, regardless of the distance presented. He has been successfully ridden by capable junior riders through to professional riders, adapting well to experienced riders of different ages.

On the ground, Scooter is exceptionally easy to handle. He is good to catch, groom, tack up, float and generally do everything with. He stands exceptionally well for the vet, farrier, and dentist. Over the past few years he has been owned, loved and competed by a teenage girl, who has enjoyed riding him bareback and even tackless, highlighting the trusting partnership he is capable of developing. 

He has taken his teenage rider from jumping poles all the way to 1.15m at home. Scooter currently competes confidently around 90cm with numerous placings. While he is capable of more, we believe he is best suited as a quality lower-level show jumper and dressage where he can continue to excel.

Recent competition highlights (2025-2026):

• 4/4/26 Stonewall Autumn Showjumping: 4th in the 70cm

• 3/3/26 Sydney Showjumping Club: 4th in the 80cm

• 7/12/25 Sydney Showjumping Club Championships - 1st place in the 85cm

• 21/9/25 - Zone 23 Pony Club Dressage and Show riding: Prep 1 - 2nd place - 71%, Prep 2 - 74.3% - 1st place, overall reserve champion

• 31/8/25 Northside Riding Club Combined Training: 3rd place in the 80cm CT

• 13/7/25 Northside Riding Club: 1st in the 60cm, 4th in the 70cm

• 15/6/25 Northside Riding Club Show Riding: Placed in every class entered with 3 x 1st, 1 x 2nd, 2 x 3rds, and a reserve champion 

• 6/4/25 Northside Riding Club Dressage: 2nd in the prep 1 (65.7%), 1st in the prep 3 (81.3%)

• 23/3/25 Northside Riding Club Combined Training: 1st in the 45cm CT

Scooter is a forward-thinking horse, so while he is kind and genuine, he is best suited to a confident rider who enjoys a performance-type horse. Like any horse, he has a few quirks, which will be discussed openly with serious buyers to ensure the right match. He is currently in work but not being ridden due to riders' time constraints. He needs a strong experienced rider who will take the time to work with his quirks.

Scooter would excel as a dressage horse, low-level show jumper or quality all-rounder for someone wanting a versatile, talented horse with plenty of natural talent. He enjoys work and is always keen to please his rider.

After several successful years with a teenage rider, he is offered for sale only because his rider is moving on. A five-star home is an absolute must for this much-loved horse.
