Moon has successfully competed at Level 3 and Preliminary Dressage Days, and has been out to local shows, freshmans, clinics, navigation rides, adult riders, and pony club events. He’s excellent out on trails and has been cross country schooling a handful of times, always taking new and busy environments in his stride.

Moon had one race start (under the name ‘Nalaad’) and is eligible for OTT classes. He recently competed at the OTT Carnival in Preliminary Dressage, scoring over 60% in both tests.

Moon has ample potential and presence, and with the right rider, he will excel. He’s not the type to get hot or anxious, but he can have the odd moment. When he’s in work and handled by someone confident, it’s not an issue. Therefore, he’s best suited to a confident and experienced rider.

Moon has the versatility and attitude to succeed in a range of disciplines. He has a compact, athletic build and is balanced and sure-footed. While his recent jumping exposure has been limited, he shows natural ability and would progress quickly with more consistency. He’s also schooled laterals and flying changes, showing lots of potential in both the dressage and show ring.

• Easy to catch, float, shoe (hot or cold), wash, clip, and handle
• Good doer - thrives on grass hay and one hard feed a day
• No soundness issues or injuries (has received top care over the years)
• Sensible around dogs, motorbikes, cars, trucks, and wildlife

Note: Moon has been seen to windsuck. He’s been scoped, maintains weight extremely well, does not wear a collar and it does not affect his health.

Moon is a genuinely special horse, and this is a very hard sale. Due to medical circumstances, I can no longer bring on a young performance horse and wants to see him go to the right home.
