Darci – 'His Girl Has Gone, Now He Needs His Person'

Darci is a 15-year-old Thoroughbred standing 15.2hh, and he's looking for his next mate. His current paddock companion has headed off to a cattle station to work, and this gentle, genuine boy deserves someone who'll appreciate him just as much as the girl who's ridden him all this time.

He's a lovely, correct mover with three strong, quality paces — a ground-covering walk, a rhythmic and balanced trot, and an uphill, engaged canter — making him a real pleasure to ride and a natural in the dressage arena. His rider has brought him along under the careful eye of her dressage coach, and the more disciplined and accurate you ride him, the better he goes. He does carry best with a steady, balanced seat, so he'll shine with a rider who matches his work ethic.

He's attended Pony Club rallies, off-property lessons, clinics, trail rides and dressage days, and has taken it all in his stride. Excellent to catch, shoe, and float. Sensible and relaxed around other horses and cows. He's the same kind, steady boy wherever you take him.

Darci has all the riding buttons and not an ounce of dirt — just a genuine, straightforward Thoroughbred who wants a job and a person to do it with.

He would suit an experienced young rider stepping up from a pony and ready for their next challenge, or an adult rider looking for a solid, honest dressage companion for Adult Riding Club.
