Ted – Kind Hearted, Adventurous Gelding

Ted is a 9 year old (2015) ott who raced as welsh guard, retiring in 2019. He is a 16.3hh bay gelding with a big heart and gentle soul.

Ted is a beautiful, kind, and honest gelding looking for a partner who values connection, variety, and fun in their riding journey. I've had the privilege of owning him for the past three years, and this is a very genuine, heart-first sale.

Ted would thrive with a rider interested in adult riding club, flatwork, pole work, and relaxed, non-competitive riding. He absolutely loves hacking out, whether solo or with others, and is bold and relaxed off-property — he actually enjoys getting out and about more than anything else.

He’s well-educated on the flat, with all the basics established and was training confidently at Grade 3 dressage, beginning to work toward Level 2 before he had a spell. He’s recently come back into work after an 8-month break and is coming back nicely. He is very trainable and would suit someone who wants to keep progressing in a low-pressure, positive environment.

Ted will happily pop over the occasional jump or log on the trail but isn’t suited to regular jumping or competition-focused homes. While he’s capable, he’s made it clear he doesn’t enjoy the competitive mindset or the pressures of eventing — he’s happiest when the focus is on fun, connection, and lighthearted adventures.
