Trail Riding Gelding

For Lease to trail riding home:

Troy is a 15.1hh, 11yo, STB Gelding.

Have tried our hand at trail riding (think man from snowy river vibes), showing, flatwork, paddock bashing. He is a quiet and genuine boy, can occasionally throw a leg out when doing flatwork and he is bored of the repetitive stuff, so he will need variety. Can canter, but needs someone to help him fully establish it.

He can be a little ‘want to turn for home’ when taking out bush, but if you can give him a push and get him moving forward, he gives up pretty quickly and will never bolt for home.

Very much the type of horse you can pull from the paddock after time off and jump on.

Very minimal spook, no bolt, rear, buck, can occasionally throw a leg as mentioned above, but it’s really just him saying he has had enough of the same arena work over and over.

He needs a capable rider, and will not just go to anyone. I will be very fussy as this boy will be with me for life.

He has had beginners on him go flat stack and do the most random things with him and he has always been so tolerant and kind, but will need a capable rider to bring out the best in him.
