Oreo (Twist Lick Dunk)

16.2 hh 13 year old (2011) Thoroughbred gelding, never raced.

Oreo has competed successfully up to EvA80/grade 3 eventing, however hasn’t got much confidence to go higher then 95 cross country unfortunately hence my decision to sell him as i’m wanting to move up the heights in eventing not showjumping.

He does however have huge potential to go higher in straight showjumping as he has plenty of scope, straight dressage with the right rider or low level eventing like what he did with me. Or I believe would make a wonderful showy in the right home.

He has a very down to earth attitude and a good work ethic, has more woah than go and stays the same at home or off the property at lessons/competitions. Has attended numerous pony club rally’s, ARC rally’s and plenty of comps and clinics. Is in a snaffle in all three phases and will come back to you very well out on course too.

Oreo has no buck/rear and is not spooky. He is also great around dogs, cows, sheep, farm machinery etc.  Is good to trail ride out by himself or with company. Has crossed the busy warburton highway in peek hour so doesn’t mind vehicles driving past him.

Oreo has established leg yields and is working on shoulder in, travers and has is walk to canter and counter canter. He has done up to 95cm-1.00m show jumping rounds. Has jumped up to 120cm at home and has done various 1* cross country jumps.

Oreo would suit an adult rider or a ‘first big horse’ upgrade from something smaller. He would also suit someone wanting a confidence builder. I’d love him to teach someone the way he taught me the way of the competition world.

He has taught me so much and is so incredibly loved in this family so this is a difficult decision.

Although he is quiet he still is a thoroughbred and can have those days so a capable rider would suit. These days are few and far between though.

Easy to c/s/f however he is a wind sucker which is easily managed with a colllar and does not affect his weight one bit.

Will come with all his rugs.

Up to date with vaccinations and teeth. Is currently in work, clipped and ready to go.
