Versatile 2* Eventer

“Bentley” is a progressive 2* event horse. He retired sound from racing in 2020 and was afforded a relaxed let down period before commencing his eventing career in 2022. He had a wind operation in his racing days but we have found this to have no effect on him as an event horse. 

He had a very competitive 2025 at 1* level with many placings and dressage score finishes, before making the step up to 2* at the end of the year. He has a super bold, honest and careful jump with an easy going riding style in these phases. Bentleys dressage continues to improve, usually scoring mid 30’s, however his strength really lies in his jumping. He has a great attitude towards his work and doesn’t get offended by a miss which makes him a great confidence boosting ride. He has plenty of scope to continue to rise through the grades and is only for sale due to property upgrades to cater for our growing business.

Bentley has had an interrupted 2026 due to a sale falling through, followed by a sarcoid treatment that has healed very well. He has been back in work for a few months now including a few outings, and is now ready for the next chapter with a new rider. 

We believe Bentley would best be suited to an ambitious and capable rider wanting to build their confidence in the jumping ring and progress through the levels eventing.
