A horse has been saved by pioneering surgery which removed her jaw to cut out a rare melon-sized tumour. Paul Newby, 33, was devastated when he discovered his beloved six year old horse Star had the rare form of cancer in her mouth. Eventing and dressage take another step towards the London Olympics in the latest high performance squads announced by Equestrian Sports New Zealand today (Friday). Unsurprisingly the 2012 eventing squad features Mark Todd, Andrew Nicholson, Jonathan Paget and Clarke Johnstone. Another great horse movie is starting in Australian cinemas, this time it's 'Buck' the documentary film, about legendary trainer Buck Brannaman, which won the Audience Award for a Documentary at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
