The 2012 Snowy Mountains Showjumping Festival Has been run, said and done - and what a week it was! Cooma Showground saw 460 horses, 1000 people 100km's of toilet paper and a massive amount of jumping take place. Following the release of photos of the Queensland State Equestrian Centre (QSEC) indoor arena at Caboolture full of water, a Moreton Bay Regional Council spokesperson has advised that a plumber is currently working to repair an issue with a water pipe. Sydney 2000 Olympic course designer Mike Etherington-Smith returned to Australia to upgrade the 3* course at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre for the 2012 Sydney Three Day Event. Mike is working closely with Australian course designer Ewan Kellet who is creating the 2* & 1* course and also with Brett Ryan who is building the new track. Vince Roche and Wayne Roycroft have already met with Dave Porter from SIEC to discuss the works required to upgrade the footing and excavate the new water jump, situated in a prime position for spectators. ... Entries to the Exhibition Eventing at Sydney Royal Easter Show are open until 27 January 2012. Sydney Royal Easter Show is again hosting an Exhibition Eventing class, to be held on Tuesday 10 April. The format is the same as last year's competition.
