The British Museum is planning its first exhibition devoted to the horse, with a display tracing our favourite animal's story across thousands of years of human history. The sport of Team Penning is becoming hugely popular in Australia, with Clubs growing fast and events scheduled almost every weekend across the country. Now another cattle working sport from the US, which is growing in popularity in that country, is emerging as a great way to have fun with horses and cows - Ranch Sorting. The Team Penning Australia Inc website calls the sport Arena Sorting and is predicting that it's going to take off in Australia as it has in the USA. With a new year upon us we're all busy making (and hopefully not breaking yet!) resolutions for 2012, with good intentions to keep them, of course! When it comes to resolutions for our horsey lives we usually make resolutions that involve riding/training more often, getting fitter to improve our riding or working on stopping riding bad habits that may have hindered our horse's performance in recent years.
