Kiwi showjumper Katie McVean is spear-heading a brilliant 24 hours for New Zealand equestrian with world-class results across the disciplines. McVean (Mystery Creek) and Dunstan Delphi are still well in the hunt to make the final of the World Cup (Monday NZ time) after a near faultless round in Leipzig, Germany this morning. She and Delphi gently nudged a couple of fences, and while they finished with everything still in its cups, they picked up a single time fault after coming home .72 of a second outside the time allowed. Their 8th place efforts today have moved them to fourth place overall....

After a day of torrential rain it was such a relief to see a big blue sky and plenty of sunshine. Everyone hoped it would last for the day. The workers responsible for preparing the arenas did a great job considering the amount of water lying around. Top Effort From Kiwi Dressage Riders at Sydney CDI

Two New Zealand dressage riders finished in a world class top 10 of the Grand Prix CDI3* in Sydney yesterday (Thursday) and will go through to the second competition today. Penny Castle (Manawatu) was fourth aboard Gymstar One (owned by Julie Broughams), with Vanessa Way (Taranaki) 10th on KH Arvan. The efforts of both riders, which will see them take on the top 20 in the Grand Prix Special, have been hailed by Equestrian Sports New Zealand high performance director Sarah Harris....
