Horsezone announced its arrival in the horse world just over two years ago, with a spectacular competition. The winner galloped off with two tickets to the World Equestrian Games, plus flights and accommodation.

Fast forward to June 2012 and Horsezone can boast over 95,000 visitors to the website every month.

Providing the equine community with a cost-effective sales vehicle, saving people thousands in advertising fees, Horsezone has also been giving back a significant amount to the sport through sponsorship. Over 150 events in a vast array of disciplines, throughout  Australia and New Zealand have received sponsorship.  The Club Contribution Scheme is another example of our ongoing commitment to the equine community, with 10% of each listing’s fee being donated to registered clubs. On top of that, as a Principal Partner of Equestrian Australia Horsezone has enabled the enhancement of their member services.

Many people have successfully sold their horses to wonderful new homes through Horsezone while others have found their perfect equine partners. “I know the whole team gets a massive thrill when we’re out and about and people tap us on the shoulder to tell a story of how they bought or sold their horse on Horsezone,” says Marketing Manager Haylie Martin. “Highlights for me include seeing horses being traded Trans-Tasman and specifically Horsezone being the start of the journey for the likes of Hannah Dodd. Hannah has made the Australian Para-Olympic team with Waikiwi, who was spotted when advertised by Kiwi Olympian, Kallista Field on the site.”

Inglis Managing Director, Mark Webster, says, “I would like to thank our customers for their support over the past two years, including thousands of people who have bought and sold via the website, and others who have promoted their equine products via banner advertising campaigns. I’m thrilled that the website is delivering on its mission, to provide opportunities for horse lovers to buy and sell 24/7 via a more cost effective and efficient channel. Our customers will benefit from a range of new features over the next 12 months, this is just the beginning of a whole new era.”

Visitors to Horsezone are predominantly from Australia, America, New Zealand, Germany, Canada and the United Kingdom and with over 7,000 listings and over 200 stallions at stud which are already receiving enquiries for the 2012 breeding season, Horsezone will continue to be Australia’s number one equine site.

Best of luck to Hannah Dodd and Waikiwi in London!
