Preparation for the “ThinLine Dressage with Altitude CDI-3* & CDI-Y 2012” event has now begun in earnest!

Modelled on “boutique European style” dressage events (small, friendly yet big in stature), the world class indoor facility of Bradgate Park in Orange will again host the February 16-19, DWA 2012 event.  This important event will give elite riders the opportunity of gaining a “Certificate of Capability”, or qualifying score, for selection eligibility for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Under the watchful eyes of Canadian, USA and Australian International 5* judges, DWA 2012 will be an event of the highest standard.

The aims of this event have always been to:

  • Promote and encourage top level Dressage competition

  • Bring this level of competition to the NSW Western districts

  • Provide an opportunity for participation to NSW country competitors

  • Offer the opportunity of promotion to National, State and Country businesses

  • All in an atmosphere of friendship and social, community involvement

This event has already achieved:

  • Support by the majority of NSW Grand Prix riders including Australian Olympic and World Equestrian Games representatives and interstate FEI competitors

  • Development from a 2 day National event in 2009 to a 4 day International 2* event in 2011

  • Continued sponsor support and a growing sponsorship base

  • Substantial growth in media coverage

  • Acceptance as a “Tour de Force” in the Dressage scene in NSW and acknowledged nationally and internationally as an innovative, unique Australian event

The event provides the opportunity for competitors, sponsors, owners, international judges, grooms and guests to all mingle in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and enjoy the experience of watching some of Australia’s most inspiring dressage combinations.

Saturday evening sees the hosting of the fabulous “Taste Dressage in Orange Cocktail Party” on the mezzanine floor of the indoor facility where over 250 guests savour the delights of renowned Orange caterer, Edwena Mitchell, while viewing the Grand Prix Freestyle CDI 3* competition.  This is an event not to be missed!

Horsezone is one of the sponsors of this wonderful event and we're looking forward to seeing some fabulous dressage in February.
