“Excellent sponsorship from more than 90 sponsors has resulted in the Donges Supa IGA 2013 Young Dressage Association Regional Championship attracting some of the best riders in NSW and competitors from as far away as WA”, said Sue Walker President of Young Dressage Association.

Over the three days there will be 221 horses and riders performing 679 dressage tests from preparatory, for those riders and or horses who are just starting in dressage, to the creme de la creme of NSW dressage community riding at the top of their game. There will be plenty for spectators to see and do.

“The competition will be intense and consequently we have ensured that the judging is of the highest standards. Young Dressage Association has brought together a team of judges from New Zealand, Tasmania, Victoria and NSW to give the competitors the benefit of their vast experience and knowledge,” said Sue Walker.

Local young rider Megan Bryant will be competing across all three days riding 18 tests across all levels. This young rider has serious talent and is one to watch for future Olympic potential. Come and give her your support remember admission is free. And if you are not sure about what you are watching then ask one of the friendly Young Dressage Association members to explain they enjoy sharing their knowledge.

While there supporting Megan you may also want to also watch some of NSW’s most experienced FEI riders Mark Dowling, Sue Hearne, Amanda Shoebridge, Verity Spargo-Shiner, Helen Chugg and Robbie Soster who will all be competing in the FEI classes in preparation for the Sydney CDI being held in May at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
