Equestrian Australia Confirms Reserve Places for the London Games

Equestrian Australia in the last week has confirmed the official selection by the Australian Olympic Committee of all riders for the London 2012 Games.  Reserve places have now been finalised for each team.

Eventing

The team:

Andrew Hoy and Rutherglen

Clayton Fredericks and Bendigo

Lucinda Fredericks and Flying Finish

Shane Rose and Taurus

Reserves:

Megan Jones and Kirby Park Allofasudden

Tim Boland and GV Billy Elliott

Sam Griffiths and Happy Times

Note: Sam Griffiths replaces Bill Levett who was forced to withdraw due to One Two Many NJ being unavailable.

Jumping

The team:

Edwina Tops-Alexander and Cevo Itot du Chateau (or Guccio)

Julia Hargreaves and Vedor

James Paterson-Robinson and Lanosso

Matt Williams and Watch Me VD Mangelaar

Reserve:

Amy Graham and Bella Baloubet

Dressage

The team:

Mary Hanna and Sancette

Kristy Oatley and Clive

Lyndal Oatley and Sandro Boy 9

Reserve:

Rozzie Ryan and GV Bullwinkle

The Dressage Selection Panel today confirmed Rozzie Ryan as the reserve rider for the London Games.  The ability to positively contribute to the team is essential for an Olympic Games and in the interest of team harmony the Dressage Selectors have chosen to appoint Rozzie. Equestrian Australia has acted in the best interest of not just the Dressage team but all 17 riders who have been selected in the equestrian team.
