The 2017 Pony Club NSW State Combined Championships are just under three weeks away, to be held at the Australian Equine & Livestock Events Centre in Tamworth from the 1st-8th July.

The event has attracted over 380 riders who will represent their Pony Club’s from all over NSW and interstate from QLD. Competitors will bring their families, friends and helpers to Tamworth for 8 days of the toughest pony club competition in the State. The State Showriding Championships will start the week off on the 1st & 2nd July, followed by the Showjumping, Dressage and Jumping Equitation Championships.

Riders will be busy practicing and preparing for the championships with some competitors travelling as far as 14 hours from Pioneer River in Queensland to attend the NSW Championships.

The great facilities at AELEC will be packed out with just under 400 horses being stabled on site and extra powered camping facilities being brought in to cater for all competitors. Spectators are invited to come along and watch competition which starts at 8:30am each morning. The most successful riders in each Age group will be awarded the 2017 Age Champion award and receive a sash, trophy and wool rug thanks to our sponsors at Horseland.

Successful competitor Ella Bourke from Matcham Valley Pony Club was awarded Age Champion in both the Showriding and Dressage State Championships last year held at Camden. Ella will be taking part in this year’s championships hoping to continue her success as she competes in the Showriding, Showjumping and Dressage Championships.

Julie Wilson Photography will once again be attending the event as the official photographer alongside Horse Deals Magazine’s coverage of the Championships.
