Sydney International Horse Trials: 26-28 April

Sydney International Horse Trials, formerly Sydney International 3 Day Event, will offer a feast of Equestrian competition from 26-28 April, 2013 at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Horsley Park.

The Trans-Tasman Challenge returns to Australian soil in 2013 and will be held in conjuntion with the CCI3* class.  Australia will defend its title, won in 2012 by Shane Rose and Taurus, Natalie Blundell Algebra, Katja Weimann and BP Gallantry and Christine Bates Delago at Kihikihi (NZL) CIC3*.
The most recent Trans-Tasman results have been;
2003 – NZL won in NZL
2005 – AUS won in AUS
2007 – NZL won in NZL
2009 – AUS won in AUS
2012 – AUS won in NZL

In addition to the Trans-Tasman,  Sydney International Horse Trials 2013 will run a CCI3*, CIC3*, CCI2*, CIC2* and CIC1* Australia 105cm (Pre Novice) class and the popular Eventing Young Horse classes (for 4, 5 and 6-year-old horses) will return to the event.

A Grand Prix will be the highlight for Jumping riders and fans. The Jumping program also caters for the up-and-coming combinations offering classes from 1.10m to 1.45m, Junior, Young Rider and Amateur classes as well as Young Horse classes for 4 to 7-year-old horses.
